Our Idea of a Dream Home.. Week 3

Week 3 into our renovation works. Everything is moving accordingly to schedule and our contractor is doing a great job.. she goes down everyday to oversee the progress.. So we can focus on our job, no need take leave to go down.. 

We met the carpenter on Saturday to do all measurements and confirmation of the laminates for the carpentry, which includes : Kitchen Cabinets, Shoe Cabinets, 6xPillars for divider, MBR vanity sink overhang cupboard, dresser, wardrobe and finally the study table. Our wardrobe will be the most expensive stuff in the MBR.. its a 3.6m long wardrobe which cost ~$3400. Cant wait to see it...

The paint is up and all light boxes and false ceiling is also up. Now it looks so much neater, unlike last week when we came, baby got a shock with the dangling cables all over..

Week 4 will be re-laying or MBR parquet flooring and polish to shine and other small tasks to be done. Next Saturday, the electrician will be here to install all lighting and ceiling fans. So after that we can visit the home during night time already.. No more torch lights.. Soon the renovation works will be done, and we are both very excited to see the final look and feel..

Lights will be delivered next week... City gas coming to install my heater and gas pipes.. Cant wait till all the reno work is done..

Our Idea of a Dream Home.. Week 1

We decided to engage a contractor to do the job, while we design ourselves.. saving the cost for an ID.. I manage to get it drawn on 3D show it to the contractor. Lets hope it will turn out to what we wanted the home to be. The modern and cosy feel..

We wanted a more spacious master bedroom, therefore we hacked down the wall between master bed room and bedroom 2. Hence, we can have a damn big wardrobe.. 12ft long..!! and ample space for study table.

With all these in drawing, our walls were finally hacked down on the 6th July. When we saw the room, we looked at one another and concluded we made a right choice hacking it.. Its so spacious and airy now...

This will be sealed, the door has been removed...

We are looking forward to next week's visit to our home.. there should be more drastic changes.. 

The day that I got OLDER... !

It was a great bday celebration.. Baby had it all planned and I definitely enjoyed myself.. We met at ard 11am for breakfast at "The Freshly Baked" @ Killiney Road..

After breakfast, we proceed to Shaw Centre where she booked for a couple spa at "The Ultimate"

Din get to take pics during spa.. as its all censored stuff.. haha.. After spa, we went to catch "Kung Fu Panda 2" in 3D and IMAX experience. But its damn exp.. $38 for 2 tickets..and after the movie.. we got headache.. cos the screen was too big and the 3D effect made us very giddy.. Overkilled..

Dinner at P.S Cafe.. Nice ambience.. Great food..

Baby made reservations for seats at the non-aircon area, cos her fren claimed that it has good atmosphere.. but what we see is construction site. so we decided to change to indoor with AIRCON... Way more comfortable..!

I had a wonderful and memorable birthday celebration, thanks to my baby.. Thanks for putting effort in planning this wonderful day.. I love u..!!
